WEEKLY TRAINING

Conformation – Obedience – Nose Work (Sunday Classes) – Rally – Agility

Member Benefits:
All members receive a discount on training classes. Members must fulfill a service requirement in order to receive the discount.
Amount varies depending on specific class.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Club meetings are the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the SCKC building. Guests are welcome to attend and must register with the membership chairperson.

Types of Membership

Open to any person 18 years of age and older; enjoys all club privileges including the right to vote and hold office.

Dues: $50.00, plus one time initiation fee of $20.

Two (2) adult members residing in the same household, each eligible to vote and hold office. However, two members of the same household may not hold office simultaneously. If, for any reason, one party loses membership status the remaining party retains an individual membership.

Dues: $70.00 plus one time initiation fee of $20.

Open to children under 18 years of age; a non-voting/non-office holding membership. A junior member’s status will lapse on December 31st following their 18th birthday. Membership as an individual will be automatic upon payment of individual membership dues.

Dues: No charge

Life membership shall be automatically granted to members with twenty-five (25) years continuous membership.

PROSPECTIVE MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

Attend two (2) regular meetings within a six (6) month period as guests prior to submitting their application for membership.

This application must be submitted within three (3) months thereafter. This application shall be provided by the Club, as approved by the Board of Directors, and in compliance with this Constitution and By-Laws, and the rules of the American Kennel Club.

Additionally, the applicant(s) shall submit a brief, separate letter describing their background in dogs, as well as their reasons for wanting to join Stone City Kennel Club.

The applicant(s) shall submit a one-time initiation fee and annual dues before the applicant(s) is/are voted upon. The amount of the initiation fee shall be set by the Board of Directors and periodically reviewed.

No applicant whose privileges are currently suspended or revoked by the AKC shall be considered for membership.

All applications are to be filed with the Membership Committee Chairperson and submitted to the Board of Directors for review. Each application is to be read at the first meeting of the Club following its receipt. At the next Club meeting, the membership application will be voted. An affirmative vote of 3/4 of the membership present is required to elect the applicant(s). Voting shall be by secret ballot.
