25 years in Law Enforcement, 20 of those years spent in K9 between handling, training dogs and supervising the unit. I started my dog training experience in 1995. In 1996 I began training my first detection K9. I got involved in professional training after becoming a police officer and being selected as a K9 handler. I have been a member of the USPCA, NAPWDA, IPWDA, and finally the American Police Canine Association where I became a Master Trainer in Narcotics detection. I have served on the Executive Board of the APCA for the last 6 years. I retired from Law Enforcement in December 2021 and went to work full time as a professional dog trainer first on my own in Southern Indiana before relocating to Cedar Lake and working for Landheim as the training manager. I took the lead there in the Police K9 training classes and I developed the scent work program at Landheim.
